Early Years Activity Leader – Sutton Coldfield
Location:
Sutton Coldfield (and surrounding areas)
Pay:
£20 per hour (self-employed)
Contract Type:
Part-time, permanent. Currently 5 hours per week, with
strong potential to increase as the programme grows.
Cover hours and additional sessions will also be available.
⚠️ Saturday morning availability is essential for this role 9-11am.
Hours are expected to increase as new nurseries and
community sessions are added.

About the Role
Tiny Tots P.E. and Toddler Tennis are expanding in Sutton Coldfield, and we are looking for a fun, reliable and enthusiastic Early Years Activity Leader to help deliver our sessions.
We deliver play-based physical education in nurseries and toddler tennis community sessions at Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club for children aged 18 months to 5 years, with a focus on building confidence, coordination and most importantly, having fun. If you’re friendly, energetic and not afraid to become a pirate, animal or superhero to make children laugh, this role could be perfect for you. No prior experience in sport or physical activity is required, as full training is provided. What is essential is a warm, bubbly and energetic personality, along with a genuine passion for getting young children active.
This position is ideal for ex Early Years Staff or Teachers who bring natural confidence around children and enjoys being active! Our main aim is to give every child a positive first experience of sport and physical activity. If you are someone looking to add a few regular hours to their mornings or want a job that works brilliantly around children with lots of opportunity to grow hours over time – Then this role would be perfect.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, energetic and fun sessions in nurseries and community spaces across Sutton Coldfield (Full session plans provided)

Bring a warm, bubbly personality to every session and always give 100%.

Create a safe, positive and fun environment for young children.

Build strong relationships with children, parents and venue staff.

Be punctual, organised and professional.

Act as a positive role model for young children.
Requirements
Applicants must:
Have the right to work in the UK
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own car
Have experience working with children aged 2–5
Be confident, outgoing and comfortable being playful and energetic.
Be reliably available on Saturdays
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will need (or be willing to obtain):
Enhanced DBS check
Paediatric First Aid (can be completed once delivering)
Safeguarding Certificate (can be completed once delivering)
Training:
Two weeks of training provided at £15 an hour, normally with a minimum of 3 hours per day. After the 2 week training period pay goes up to £20 an hour.
